Ökodorf Sieben Linden There are several ways to get to know the ecovillage:Cafe Sieben Linden On the first Sunday of every month (except January and August) from 2 til 5pm you are welcome to just drop in and get a first impression. As well as tea, coffee, home-made cake and information, a guided tour is available Some Seminars are suitable for English speaking guests For these Seminars see .seminar program.. International Experience Week 11.-16.10.09 This week is expecially designed for english speeking guests. We will work together on the settlement and its design - from planting edible landscapes and taking care of flower beds to building benches and seats and setting up signage. There will be a lot of space for information about Sieben Linden and to answer your questions and, if you are interested, we can talk about permaculture, too. We will also have time to get to know each other and to get a little impression of what living in community feels like. Some weeks we accept volunteers to work with us for 6-8 hours a day in exchange for food and lodging. Other working weeks deal with a specific project, and for some we request a financial contribution. These weeks offer a good opportunity for the volunteers to get to know each other, the ecovillage and the people who live here. You are welcome to participate in the social and cultural life of the community. Guests are most welcome to share any of their talents with us (i.e. music or talks).We would ask you to apply in advance and if possible to arrive on a Sunday afternoon and depart on a Friday afternoon. If you stay for two or more weeks, then your in-between weekend"s accomodation is free of charge. Except for the Cafe we ask that you arrange your visit in advance. How to get here Please use public transport if at all possible. The nearest railway stations are Salzwedel and Oebisfelde (our local station has unfortunately being closed down). From there take bus 300 to Poppau-Ort. This is about a kilometre from the ecovillage, and you can easily walk from there. For those of you who come by car we ask for a donation of €2.50 per night for car parking. This money is used for the maintenance of our visitors bikes.
