Instructions for the application to ETTC funding

Instructions how to apply for Grundtvig funding for the "European Transition Town Conference"

  1. Preregister for the event on the form below. We will send you a pre-registration that you might need for the application.

  2. Go to http://ec.europa.eu/education/lifelong-learning-programme/doc1208_en.htm and find out which is your national agency. Search for Grundtvig actions. There are several Grundtvig actions. The one you are looking for is about "Visits and Exchanges". The modalities for applying for this program differ from country to country. Check with your National Agency’s website for national priorities, deadlines and application forms.

  3. For the application, you will probably need a detailed description of the course. You will find it in the internet: http://ec.europa.eu/education/trainingdatabase, if you search for reference number DE-2010-1001-001.

  4. Follow exactly the instructions of the national agency. They are very strict with the formal criteria - anything that’s not totally correct will immediately lead to a denial of the grant (e.g. if you fill something out (or correct something) by hand what they expect to get electronically or if you send any part of the application later than the deadline or if one appendix is missing or, or, or...)

  5. Sign the form yourself and get it signed by your organization and send it to your National Agency together with the pre-registration letter you received from us. The deadline varies from country to country, it was the 15th of January for Hungary, Slovenia, Estonia, Romania, France, Demark and Lithuania.
We know about open deadlines in the following countries:

Croatia: March 24th (=45 days before the start of travel)
Slovakia: March 31st (=6 weeks before the beginning of the conference)
Macedonia: March 31st (=6 weeks before the beginning of the conference)
Luxembourg: March 31st (=6 weeks before the beginning of the conference)
Iceland: April 19th (=one month before the visit takes place)
Flanders (Belgium): February 28th (=min 7 weeks after the chosen deadline which is always the last day of the month)
Walloon (Belgium): March 31st (=6 weeks before the beginning of the conference)
Portugal: March 31st (=6 weeks before the beginning of the conference)
Netherlands: March 31st (=6 weeks before the beginning of the conference)
    Italy: March 18th
Spain: April 19th (=one month before the visit takes place)

For the other countries, we didn't find out. Please inquire with your national agencies (their homepages are in all kind of languages that we don't speak), and inform us when you found out that there's still a chance in your country.

  6. When you have a response from your national agency, be sure to confirm your booking with us or to inform us if you won’t come.

If you have problems with your application, please contact Michael Würfel.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing you in Sieben Linden!
